Aziul Art
At Aziul Art, we are dedicated to creating a safe and nurturing space where healing, growth, and creativity thrive. Our mission is to support individuals on their journey to wellness through the transformative power of art. Led by a qualified art therapist, we offer individual art therapy sessions and art as therapy workshops designed to promote emotional well-being and self-discovery.

Luisa Vargas
Luisa earned her master’s degree in art therapy from The George Washington University and is a board-certified art therapist (ATR-BC) as well as a qualified mental health professional for children and adults (QMHP-C and QMHP-A). With extensive experience in individual and group therapy, she integrates a creative, patient-centered, and trauma-informed approach to working with children, adolescents, and adults. An accomplished visual artist, Luisa has spent years teaching art and facilitating expressive art groups and workshops, guided by her deep belief in the healing power of the art-making process. In addition to her therapeutic work, Luisa also has a passion for capturing love and life through her portraits. She was a devoted dog mom to Charlie, an adorable Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, who passed away in 2021. After his passing, Luisa processed her and her husband's grief by creating numerous portraits of him, celebrating his unique spirit. This personal journey further deepened her understanding of the emotional connection art can provide, especially in honoring cherished four-legged family members. Luisa’s pet portraits are known for their expressive and distinctive style, as she strives to capture the soul and individuality of each animal she paints.
Art therapy
Aziul Art provides individual art therapy sessions for children, adolescents, and adults at EverWhen Therapy.Art therapy is an expressive therapeutic modality that uses the language of creativity to guide individuals toward self-discovery, self-acceptance, and personal growth. The art therapist first meets with the client(s) to determine their goals for working together. Then, she engages her client(s) in the creative process. She will provide support, encouragement, and a safe space for the creative process. After the artmaking, she encourages my clients to share their experiences and artwork while I guide them in self-discovery.

ARTIST STYLE
Luisa’s pet portraits are realistic but expressive and painterly. She uses larger and more prominent brush strokes, emphasizing the pet’s eye expression and painting with a level of instinct rather than only making calculated decisions. This artist might not be the best fit if you want a smooth, realistic, photo-like portrait. However, if you are looking for a fun, unique portrait that captures your pet's soul and energy, Luisa is the right artist for your pet portrait.ORDER A COMMISSION
